You do not need a new camera system to search footage in plain English. You need something that reads what your recorder already writes.

What changes on your network

One machine joins your local network and reads video. Nothing is uploaded, no ports need to be opened to the internet, and after install the machine can run with the internet disconnected entirely, alerts included.

Will AI video search work with my Hikvision or Dahua NVR?
Yes. AI Smart Retail reads the video your recorder already produces rather than replacing it. An RTSP stream, a folder of exported clips, or a drive pulled from the recorder all work.
Do I have to replace my cameras?
No. Existing IP cameras keep recording to the same system. Nothing about your current setup has to change for the index to be built.
Can it index footage from a recorder that is already retired?
Yes. Point it at the drive or the exported files and it will transcribe, index and answer questions about that archive the same way it does for live cameras.
